Happy Hallowe'ening!
Scary 👀 Drive on Monida Pass*
We started the day with dry roads and more of the same SW winds we had experienced getting to Great Falls yesterday. We were south of Dillon MT on Interstate 15 when we started seeing the scene below. It wasn't long before the air was full of blowing snow, the temperature had dropped from 37F/3C to 24F/-4C and the roads were treacherously slippery. Didn't see anyone in the ditch; Bill switched to 4-wheel drive and by the time we stopped for the evening in Idaho Falls, ID the roads were dry again and the temperature was a balmy 43F/6C!
Before our evening meal we had a great walk along the Snake River from the campground to the Idaho Falls hydroelectric generating site.
