Well, it took awhile to get on the road, but we arrived Dec 28 in Arizona for three months!
Bill's prostate cancer (diagnosed in 2007) required a change in medication this fall, but by Dec 18th, we were given our "ticket to drive" and he doesn't need to be back for more testing until early April.
Our 2817 km drive was uneventful - dry roads once we got out of Calgary (!), clear skies and light winds. The temperatures were well below freezing all the way to Arizona so stayed in hotels until our last night on the road!
We've stayed busy since our arrival, enjoying a hike with our gang and spending time with our daughter Janine & family and her in-laws in north Phoenix. New Year's Eve we had fun outdoors at Christmas at the Princess in Scottsdale - glad they had heaters to gather around (and cook s'mores!) as it was cool in the dark. It was a great way to have a family NYE!
Enjoyed the train ride around the Park

We all rode the ferris wheel and got an aerial view of the Park and the mountains in and around Phoenix.
