Tonight, the chorus group we started singing with in January had its year end concert. We were joined in the main hall by the chimes group. It was a fine musical evening!
Our chorus sang mostly in three parts (SAB) and performed a wide range of music from spirituals to a Gershwin medley to Andrew Lloyd Webber's "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera.
We had never really experienced the music of chimes - something akin to handbells - where each player has 2 (or more) notes to play in each melody. It was enchanting.
